Our Goal
The primary goal for this year’s Run is to raise funding that will provide immediate financial assistance for the surviving spouses and children of local police officers, sheriff deputies, fire fighters, EMS squad members and North Carolina State Troopers killed in the line of duty.

Event Beneficiaries

100% of the proceeds from The Paul Hale Memorial Run will benefit The 200 Club of Wake County -a local non-profit corporation founded in the year 2000 by Paul Hale’s mother and father after his tragic death in 1997. Seven more public safety officers were killed in North Carolina that same year. Wake County has suffered the loss of 5 more courageous servicemen since then. Visit The Officers Down Memorial Page to learn more about and remember all fallen law enforcement heroes recorded to date.
Paul and his Dad

Another important part of our goal is to celebrate the life and memory of Detective Paul A. Hale. Paul was indeed a hero, and his two daughters, family members, friends, and surrounding local communities wish to publicly and justifiably honor the life he lived.
