etrials EDC |
etrials is an eClinical software
and services company developing custom software applications
for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and contract research
organizations. My current responsibilities include designing
program modules that meet identified requirements, performing
and reviewing system requirements analysis for software
programs and systems, as well as coding and unit testing
program modules. In addition to my daily tasks, I also
collaborated with our Product Development department and
an outside consulting agency to gather requirements for
the newest version of the primary design tool used by
Application Development. I was the primary liaison between
our Information Technology department and Application
Development in the transition to a RAC server environment.
In addition to the technical skill required for the position,
I also interact with staff and team members, clients,
or others as necessary to rigorously and accurately identify
and document requirements on a daily basis. Please click

Lenovo Support & downloads |
Lenovo is the 3rd largest PC
manufacturer in the world. As a Web content author and
technical writer, I was responsible for the development
and maintenance of content on the Lenovo Support &
downloads Web site. This included posting and updating
BIOS and drivers, hints & tips, how to's, troubleshooting
and product information. I assisted in the development
of consumer-focused content to support Lenovo's move towards
the transactional business model. This included authoring
several "how to" documents and creating content for the
site's new Tooltip feature. I was also a participant in
several cross-functional teams dedicated to improving
usability and customer satisfaction for the various form
types within the Web site. Please click the link to the

Paul
Hale Memorial Run |
PaulHaleMemorialRun.org was
developed to promote a charity run in honor of a Raleigh
police detective that lost his life in the line of duty.
Proceeds from the run benefit the 200 Club of Wake County,
an organization established to provide assistance to the
widows and families of fallen servicemen like Paul Hale.
The site was developed using HTML, ASP, JavaScript, CSS,
and Flash. The site also has the ability to accept online
donations through the use of an integrated PayPal shopping
cart. |

Cbay |
Cbay is an online charity auction
designed and programmed on a volunteer basis. Cbay is
sponsored by the Cap Community Foundation, Inc. 100% of
auction proceeds benefit SAFEchild of Wake County. This
site allows a user to create an account and bid on items
of interest. The auction maintains the highest bidder
for a particular item and displays the information to
the current bidder. Recently, "Buy Now" functionality was added,
allowing the user to purchase the item instead of bidding. |

Wormy Chestnut Lumber |
I participated
in both the development and maintenance stages of many
different Web sites and projects during my internship
with Horizon Media Works. I gained a broad range of skills
and techniques necessary to build a successful Web presence,
including HTML layout, search engine optimization and
promotion, image and graphics optimization, database administration
and programming. One of the most successful projects I
took part in was the creation of a WormyChestnutLumber.com,
a brochure site that was created to broker the sale of
American Hardwoods. In addition to the layout and preparation
of content, my primary responsibilities were to create
and implement a marketing plan in order to generate and
convert the site's leads into sales. This included optimizing
content to result in higher natural search rankings, creating
pay-per-click campaigns, developing reciprocal links with
related Web sites and the research and evaluation process
of both paid and free directory listings. WormyChestnutLumber.com
has established a number one spot for searches on "wormy
chestnut lumber" within Google,
Yahoo,
and MSN
search engines since its launch last August. |
