Who should I share this link with, and who might participate in a Cbay auction?

Cbay is intended for CAPTRUST employees, their family members, and perhaps their very closest friends. Please use your discretion before forwarding this site link on. Cbay does not wish to disrupt the business atmosphere in our office. Please also be aware that the decision to keep it to this small group was largely influenced by the flexible pick-up schedule that will be required from buyers. Payment and item pick-up exchanges will depend on our office relocation date, as all items must remain in the office until that time. Please see “When will I receive the item/items I purchased on Cbay?” below for more information.

When will the auction take place?

Cbay will be open for auction item bidding from Friday, October 9th through Friday, October 16, 2009. The auction will close at 9pm on the 16th, and sales will be awarded to the highest bidder for each item at this time. All “Buy It Now” item sales will be "sold" and guaranteed to the bidder once each “Buy it Now” bid is submitted or price point is reached.

What must I do before bidding?

All participants must first register and be logged in to their account in order to place bids. All auction participants are also required to agree to our "user agreement" (see below) before bidding.

When will I receive the item/items I purchased on Cbay?

Winning bidders will be contacted to schedule item pick-up and payment collection. Please be sure to include your email address and telephone number when registering for this purpose. This schedule will depend on our office relocation date, as items must remain in the office until this time. Once determined, pick-ups will be made available during a few designated weekend morning and weekday evening times. Sorry! No delivery.

Who and how do I pay for these items?

Cash and checks made payable to the CapCommunity Foundation Inc. are acceptable forms of payment for Cbay auction items. CapCommunity Foundation Inc. is a registered 501(c)3 charity. CAPTRUST employees will be permitted to post-date personal checks as far out as November 30, 2009. Sorry, no credit card processing capabilities are available at this time!

Who recieves the money from Cbay auction sales and are they considered tax deductable donations?

100% of Cbay auction proceeds will benefit the CapCommunity Foundation. These earnings will fund the Foundation’s charitable endeavors and service projects throughout the year. Sorry! Auction item payment will not be considered a tax deductable donation.
